ContiTech presents highlights from its innovation powerhouse – in the latest edition of ContiTech initiativ

Product innovations and enhancements by ContiTech are giving vehicle producers a clear competitive advantage. Benecke-Kaliko’s surface-integrated heating for vehicles is a conductive material that warms up in seconds and uses a minimum of energy. Another pioneering achievement, this time in the field of lightweight engineering, comes from ContiTech Vibration Control: the first transmission crossbeam to be made of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide. Designed for rear axles, this component is 30 percent lighter than its conventional equivalents.

Current developments and the future of the company are also the subject of an interview with Hans-Jürgen Duensing, Continental AG Board Member and CEO of the ContiTech division.

And then there’s a special foil by Benecke-Kaliko that represents a new two-in-one solution for use in semi-arid regions. This groundbreaking innovation helps conserve water while at the same time producing energy. It consists of sheeting with integrated photovoltaic modules and not only prevents reservoir water from evaporating but also generates power.
